Ipswich Bach Choir
Ipswich Bach Choir is sad to announce that it is winding up. Dwindling numbers
mean we are no longer viable as a choir. The choir was started in 1929 and
we were looking forward to our centenary but alas this was not to be.
Our last few rehearsals (April 24, May 1st and 8th, 7.30 pm at Northgate Arts Centre)
will be to sing favourite pieces from our past repertoire, including excerpts from
Vivaldi’s Gloria, Messiah, Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine and others.
We will finish with a Singing Day on June 22nd at Waldringfield Village Hall,
singing those same pieces and having a bit of a party with cake.
All are welcome to join us especially past members who would like to come to say goodbye.
(£35 for rehearsals plus Singing Day, £15 for Singing Day only).
