The Miyabi Duo

The Miyabi Duo – Saki Kato (Japan) and Hugh Millington (UK), guitar duo. A warm welcome to the Theatre to this superb international guitar duo. Drawing on a large range of musical influences Saki (Japan) and Hugh (UK) will showcase a variety of music for two guitars, including classical and well-known music by Spanish composers such as Granados and Rodrigo and contemporary 20th/21st century music dedicated to the duo.

All Concerts at 1.10pm. Tickets £10 each
Refreshments after the performance in the Greene Room included.

Wed 7 February:
The Edmund Octet, directed by Benedict Collins Rice. Ready to brighten up the dullest of February days, the gentlemen of the Edmund Octet return under their new Music Director, Benedict Collins Rice. The Octet will bring favourite songs from their varied repertoire such as Charles Aznavour’s ultra-romantic ‘She’ (the theme tune to ‘Notting Hill’), the beautiful ‘Going Home’ by Anton Dvořák (from Symphony ‘The New World’), Leonard Bernstein’s ‘Maria’ and the Rod Stewart hit song ‘Sailing’, with audience participation!

Wed 13 March:
Electric Alchemy – Marianne Olyver, Electric Violin; Steve Linton, Guitar/Vocals; John Human, Piano/Keyboard; Jeffery Wilson, Saxophone; Jonathan Woolston, Bass. Led by virtuoso violinist, Marianne Olyver and some of our most stunning musicians, enjoy an electrifying twist on popular classical and jazz songs. Come prepared for Gounod to Grapelli, (Charlie) Parker to Beatles and Billy Joel!

Wed 17 April:
Serendipity Woodwind Trio – flute, clarinet & bassoon led by Anna Hopkins.
Formed, ‘socially distanced’ in Summer 2020, Serendipity performs around Norfolk and Suffolk and has an extensive repertoire of baroque, classical and modern music, including arrangements from shows. Today’s programme will include Mozart, Ibert, Fernandez, Tomasi and Bernstein.
