Lecture – 10th March
For the Love of Silk – Liz Trenow.

Liz Trenow is a former East Anglian Daily Times journalist and now the author of eight internationally best-selling novels, translated into twelve languages. She was born and brought up next to the silk mill in Sudbury, Suffolk where the family company, first started in Spitalfields more than 300 years ago, still weaves top-end fabrics that are worn by royalty and exported all over the world. Liz gives an illustrated talk about the remarkable history of the silk company and how the stories she learned when researching it first inspired her to write historical fiction. For information about Liz’s novels please visit
