 Inspired by The Ruba’iyat

Harpist: Virginie Roidiere

Suffolk Poetry Society is dedicated to promoting the art of poetry and welcomes collaboration with other art forms. Today, SPS members give readings from The Ruba’iyat of Omar Khayyam translated by Suffolk poet Edward Fitzgerald, and also read members’ poems inspired by this famous work.
The poetry is accompanied by music performed by Virginie Roidiere, an accomplished harpist.

Town Lectures and Concerts 2019

Thursday 13th June  1.00pm – 1.50pm.
Museum Street Methodist Church (entrance in Black Horse Lane), Ipswich.

Tea and coffee are served from 12.30pm.

ADMISSION IS FREE with a retiring collection to defray expenses.
Donations of at least £2.00 per head are valued to maintain the series.
