The Peter Pears Gallery
The Suffolk Craft Society
Annual Summer Exhibition
Peter Pears Gallery, just off the promenade and High Street, Aldeburgh.
Since the 1970’s the Suffolk Craft Society’s Summer Exhibition has been an established part of the summer art scene in Aldeburgh, based at the Peter Pears Gallery on the High Street during July and August. They have recently selected 3 new members to join their ambitious and industrious society of over 100 designer makers, most of whom will be showing their latest work in the Summer Exhibition.
Almost all work in the exhibition will be for sale and buyers can choose from an unequalled range of beautiful designer crafts. There will be something for all budgets with prices varying from just a few pounds for small pieces of pottery, handmade bags and textiles for the home, to larger sums for precious jewellery, glass work, framed prints, sculpture, furniture and woven wall hangings.
The exhibition is manned by the Society’s members, so you can enjoy the benefits of buying locally made designer crafts by speaking to the makers about their working processes or perhaps even commission a unique creation.
Visitors will also have the chance to take part in the grand prize draw. Members of the Suffolk Craft Society have donated their beautiful crafts as raffle prizes and you can buy a ticket for a chance to win.
Many people, locals and visitors alike, come back year after year, so come and find out what you have been missing!

The Suffolk Craft Society was formed in 1970 to promote the value and importance of contemporary crafts and to support individual craftspeople in the creation of their work. The Society supports over 130 members with a wide variety of craft skills. The standard of excellence of the work is ensured by our rigorous selection for membership.
