‘A Wildlife Tour of East Anglia’
Liz Cutting ARPS DPAGB

Since retirement, naturalist and photographer Liz Cutting travels quite widely
within and outside Britain. However, she says that she retains a great love of East
Anglia and all it has to offer the wildlife enthusiast. This talk will take us to some
of her favourite places around East Anglia, which are good for wildlife; they are
all publicly accessible although not all are managed by conservation organisations.

Liz has spent many hours in the last decade or so working and volunteering in the
conservation sector in Suffolk and Essex and is very active in dormouse conservation
locally as well as other little conservation projects. Although originally her photographic
interests were mainly in monochrome prints of landscapes and environmental portraits,
for the last decade natural history, especially birds, has been her main focus of effort.
She is a volunteer photographer for the Friends of Christchurch Park,
providing photographs for their newsletters as well as contributing many images for,
Ipswich Arboretum – A History and Celebration and ‘The Butterflies in Christchurch Park’.
The British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) has used some of Liz’s images in the ‘Bird Atlas 2007-11′
and for books, web site, members’ magazines and Christmas cards. Images have also been
used by the RSPB, Suffolk Ornithology Group and the Hawk and Owl Trust, amongst others.
