Heritage Open Days – Heritage Displays and Craft & Gift Fair

Heritage Open Days is England’s largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over
2,500 organisations, 5,000 events and 40,000 volunteers. Every year in September, places
across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community and history.
It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.

Showcasing its rich 1000 year history, St Peter’s has displays on the history of the Church,
the surrounding area and the wider area of Ipswich, the exquisite and rare 800 year old
Tournai Marble Font and the more recent, but equally beautiful Ipswich Charter Hangings.
There will also be displays on the history of the area provided by the Over Stoke History Group.

We will also be holding an extended monthly Craft & Gift Fair on the
Saturday and Sunday – featuring some of the areas best crafters.

Entry is free and the bar, serving hot, cold and
alcoholic drinks will be open on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday 15th September 2018 & Sunday 16th September 10:00am to 4:00pm
